Farming Simulator is a computer game that's based on agricultural simulation and management. Players are charged with the task of working the fields of a farm and also managing some husbandry. More than 100 total vehicles and equipment are featured in this farming simulation game. Players have the choice to use tractors, plows, cultivators, seeders, planters, hoppers, harvesters and much more. More than two dozen different real brands are also part of the vehicle and equipment selection of Farming Simulator. The physics in this game accurately simulate the movement of the various machinery that's used to work the fields. Players learn how to master the various controls for the realistic vehicles that are standard in the modern agricultural industry.

At first, players start out with outdated machinery. With time, the goal is to obtain the latest vehicles that significantly boost the performance of agricultural development. Farming Simulator features three different game modes that include an economic system, husbandry and fields. As in real life, the virtual farmers in Farming Simulator have to produce crops and then sell it to a local market. Success is measured by the seasonal harvest and the quarterly sales. There is a sense of freedom in what types of crops can be grown. The business aspect of this game involves calculating sales figures and making projections for future transactions.

However, smart decisions have to be made to yield productive results based on specific soil, season and other natural conditions. In fact, the farmers in this game can select the type of terrain they'd like to use for plantation. Some of the missions in Farming Simulator are time based, which means that the clock is ticking as players must gather enough crops and other produce.

The graphics in Farming Simulator accurately show real farming scenes in three dimensions. However, there aren't a whole lot of sounds in this game, as players mostly complete tasks without much dialogue or soundtracks. Living the life of a farmer in the United States is what Farming Simulator is all about.
